Where are you located?
We are on 30 acres in Conover NC

What meats do you sell?
We sell pasture raised chicken, turkey, and pork.

What kinds of pigs do you raise?
We currently raise 2 heritage breeds of pigs. Large Black Hogs, and Gloucester Old Spots. Both of these breeds do well raised in the woods, and have amazing flavor because of it.

Can I bring my kids to your farm?
We welcome anyone who wants to come see the farm! Since we are a working farm we ask that you email beforehand to set up a time.
How are your birds raised?
Our birds come to our farm around 2 days old, and stay in a brooder (read warm, dry barn) until they have enough feathers and are strong enough for full exposure to 24/7 elements. This is usually 2-3 weeks. After that we take them outside where they spend the rest of their life getting rotated on fresh grass.

Do you sell eggs?
We do! You can find our chicken eggs at the Be Natural Grocery store in Boone, Carolina Farm Trust in Charlotte, and by reservation at the farmers market in Hickory. We also have a limited supply of duck eggs (pictured)

Do birds really eat grass?
Yes! As you can see in the above picture, the paddock on the right is where the chickens had been. You can see the difference from the uneaten paddock on the left. Chickens get about 20% of their diet from grasses, while turkeys get about 30%.

Who processes your meat?
We do our own processing of poultry, but we are required by law to send our pigs to USDA processing facility.

What do you feed your birds?
Birds and pigs are omnivores and need more than just grass to survive. We feed our animals locally milled grains. We are currently working on growing Blue Clarage heirloom corn (pictured) to be able to feed them corn right from our property!
